Crater FFA Alumni Officer Job Descriptions
Affiliate officers serve a vital leadership role in the FFA. The officer team should lead by example and encourage other members to participate in alumni activities. The offices required by the National FFA Alumni to have an alumni affiliate are President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Affiliates may add additional offices as desired. General duties of the elected officers include:
President
- Preside over meetings
- Develop and present the agenda
- Appoint committees and serve on them as ex-officio, non-voting member
- Represent the affiliate in public relations and official functions
- Work with the advisors to coordinate and help set up the activities of the affiliate
Vice President
- Preside over meetings in absence of president
- Assist in setting the agenda
- Assist committees as required
- Work closely with the president and advisors to see that all needs are met
- Work with Treasurer to coordinate annual financial account review
Secretary
- Keep accurate minutes of meetings and maintain Secretary’s notebook of same
- Prepare and record minutes – forwarding to Alumni Officers, Advisors, and Webmaster within seven days following each meeting
- Maintain and publish annual membership roster
- Cooperate with Treasurer
- Communicate with Alumni members
Treasurer
- Keep accurate records of checking account, savings, and investments
- Present monthly treasurer reports at affiliate meetings and/or via email
- Receive, record, and deposit Alumni funds and issue refunds
- Pay annual state and national Affiliate dues
- Serve on annual Budget Committee
- Maintain Treasurer’s Notebook

- Kick-Off Fall BBQ Committee
- Christmas Tree Sales Committee
- WLC Scholarship Committee
- Webmaster (Assigned by Advisors)
