Hello Everyone,

In collaboration with Oregon Team AgEd’s STAR (State Teach Ag Results) initiative we are introducing a Social Media Blitz to promote the career and profession of  Teaching Ag.   #TeachAg

The Oregon FFA Facebook page is leading the effort by publishing and promoting positive influences that Ag Teachers have had on lives of students and FFA Alumni.  I encourage you to share with your students and alumni member the efforts of Oregon FFA Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/OregonFFA and have them participate.  There will be prizes/drawings for different requests.  Keep an eye on the Oregon Facebook page to see the latest development.

Specifically on Thursday September 25, 2014 for a 24 hour period.  Students will be encouraged to take a “selfie” (photo taken with a camera by one of the participants in the photo, i.e. self-inflected photo) with their Ag Teacher and post the image on the Oregon Facebook Page.  The Ag Teacher needs to be included within the photo.  Those students will be entered in to prize drawing for Teach Ag Day 2014. Please use the Hash Tag  #TeachAg , &  #LoveMyAgTeacher ,

Additionally we will be sharing  #WhyTeachAgWednesday about the value of the Agricultural Science and Technology  Teaching profession.  Encourage your students to like, comment and be engage in the #TeachAg movement.
